Hay Meadow Beadwork Necklace & Earrings Set (BW49)
The focal pendant of this necklace is a handmade lampwork bead from Pixie Willow. I've long admired Lorna's (of Pixie Willow) work and was very pleased to buy this bead from her. Lampwork beads are made by melting glass over a hot flame, building up layer by layer. This one is particularly clever as Lorna has allowed the glass to drop into a teardrop shape and then added layers of glass to make the pattern.
I've picked out the colours in the bead to create the bail for it and the necklace itself. The earrings are made to complement, rather than match the necklace and can of course be worn on their own as well. The colours put me in mind of a hay meadow, hence the name.
The necklace is 19" (485mm) long and the pendant is 3cm x 4cm.
