Porcelain Pendant on Beadwork Necklace (BW46)
A fellow crafter, Irene Lucas, makes amazing pottery and often uses porcelain in her work. She had a few samples which she was selling so I snapped them up as I knew I could make interesting jewellery with them.
This one is a triangular piece - I love the intricacies of the slip she has used. I've beaded around it and made a bail then created the necklace to suspend it from in a modified chenille stitch. I've picked out both the light and the dark blues in the piece and am very pleased with the result!
The necklace is 18" (465mm) fastening with a beadwork toggle clasp, the triangle has a drop of 6mm.
Where this whenever you are feeling a little arty or bohemian!
